How to Measure for Your Fabric Mask

Sydney Deutsch April 10, 2020

Our masks are made predominantly of donated fabrics: cotton or cotton poly blends. They may shrink when dried but can be washed like normal clothing.

CONTOURED MASKS (includes nose pincher & behind the ear elastic loops)

Directions to measure for your size: Get a ruler or tape measure, and measure from the bridge of your nose to just under your chin. This is the portion that the mask should cover. See chart above for your size!

  • General kids size mask: is about 4 inches in length and about 10 inches wide including the ear loop elastic

  • Small: 4.5 inches

  • Medium: 5.5 inches

  • Large: 6.5 inches

OR

PLEATED MASKS (includes behind the ear elastic loops)

We have a one size fits all pleated mask! This mask covers roughly 9 inches across the face and 6 inches up and down in the middle of your face.

Check out our contact section of the website, and enter your name, email and under the message portion, you put quantity and sizes and type of mask that you would like!

  • You’ll then receive a confirmation email within 24-48 hours with more details on curbside or store pick up

  • If there is a specific fabric you would like your mask to be made out of, feel free to bring your own fabric.

  • We are in need of fabric if you would like to donate!

    • The best kind of fabric is light to medium weight 100% cotton non-stretch fabric! Feel free to donate washed fabric of this kind for your masks and masks for others!

  • All masks are free to those that are going through hard times right now, and for those that can donate THANK YOU! We are accepting donations via Venmo for touchless donations @hydeparkmke Your donations are going towards rent, labor, supplies such as fabric, elastic and paper clips. Your donations also may cover the above for someone that cannot pay right now. A great way to do a simple act of kindness right now :)

women's clothing, accessories, gifts and home shop, also featuring tailoring and dry cleaning

Hyde Park MKE has recently changed over from the widely known Hyde Park Tailors and Cleaners, that was owned and operated by Erwin and Joe Strigenz. Erwin has owned and worked at the company since the 1960's and his brother Joe joined working with him shortly after the 1980's. They have worked side by side for decades, bringing a level of high class in suiting, tailoring and dry cleaning to the Wauwatosa area. Erwin's daughter Rose worked at the shop as a young girl helping out with the dry cleaning, and today her daughter Sydney is taking over the family business. Hyde Park MKE will be a women's clothing, accessories and gift store. Hyde Park will also continue the 3rd generation tradition of offering tailoring, alterations and dry cleaning, something very unique to the retail world.  We are also carrying clothing lines by local Milwaukee designers, nation-wide brands, as well as pieces of art and accessories for sale by local artists.
